What to expect at Rose Lens Therapy
Individual and couples therapy for women, with clear rates and nothing hidden.
Individual Therapy
Time that's entirely yours
$200 per 50-minute session
What you've been experiencing lately and the feelings that brought you to seek support are discussed in this private space. Trained with a systemic perspective, those symptoms make more sense once we look at the life around them: This includes the home you grew up in, the relationships you're in now, your work environment, and even the country as it stands. We look at all of it in order to understand what's going on and how to create meaningful change.
In the room, expect someone warm, funny, and fully human. Our conversations will feel like talking with a peer who compassionately challenges you, drawing on education, research, and always your own goals. I'm curious about you and on your side, which means celebrating you and holding you accountable when appropriate.
Couples Therapy
Repair, not referee
$250 per 50-minute session
I recognize that many couples come to therapy after feeling like they've already tried everything else on their own, and that can feel scary. Showing up here often means admitting something isn't working, and that takes real courage, it's not lost on me. That said, my approach with couples tends to be even more directive and challenging than my individual work. I want to assure my education and experience do not mean those challenges push towards a specific standard. Instead, we explore together what actually works for the two of you, based on your own individual and personal needs. The space we create becomes one where I help you learn how not to lose connection through conflict, and how to meaningfully repair.
Who I work with
Most of the women I see are somewhere between their mid-20s and mid-40s, across Gen Z, millennials, and younger Gen X. Some are in college or just starting out in their careers. Some are new mothers, newly engaged, or freshly divorced. Many are somewhere in between, carrying more than anyone can see. My clients live throughout both New York and New Jersey.
A lot of my clients are neurodivergent, or suspect they might be. That includes women with ADHD, or who wonder if they have it. It also includes women living with OCD, or who think their mind might work that way. Women who may experience intrusive thoughts, mental checking, reassurance-seeking, and loops that won't let up. You don't need a diagnosis to start here, and you don't need to know what to call it yet.
Many of the women I work with also grew up in homes where no one quite checked in on them, or where they never felt they knew how to speak up for what they needed. Their childhoods weren't perfect, and they've always sensed something was off, even without the language for it. They learned early to take care of everyone else and stay quiet about their own needs.
Making sense of that, at your own pace, is often where the deepest work begins.
How sessions work
All sessions are 50 minutes and currently take place over telehealth. We begin with a free 15-minute phone consultation, so you can get a feel for me and I can make sure your needs fit within my expertise. I ask that we meet weekly for the first four weeks to build a foundation, and then decide together whether to stay weekly or space sessions out.
Let's be honest about paying out of pocket
Private pay is a real investment, and I won't pretend otherwise. Paying for therapy yourself can feel like a lot, especially when you're already stretched thin.
I'm cash-pay for a reason: it means no insurance company decides how long we work together, what your diagnosis says, or what stays in your record. What we do is shaped by us, not by a claims department.
I also hold a limited number of sliding-scale spots, based on financial need. If cost is the thing standing between you and starting, please tell me. I'll do my best to find something that works for you, or point you toward alternate options.
Insurance & superbills
I don't work with insurance companies directly, but that doesn't always mean you're paying full price. Many of my clients have out-of-network benefits without realizing it, and many receive partial reimbursement once they've met their deductible.
At the end of each month, I send you a superbill: a detailed receipt with everything your insurance needs. You pay me my rate, submit the superbill to your insurance, and they may reimburse you directly.
Reimbursement isn't guaranteed and varies by plan.
If you're curious where you stand, here's all you need to ask:
- Do I have out-of-network outpatient mental health benefits?
- What is my deductible, and how much have I met?
- What percentage (or amount) do you reimburse per session?
Happy to talk through any questions you may still have, financial or otherwise.
